American Wheat - An Americanized version of a Hefeweizen, but lacking most of the expected banana and clove characteristics. More hop bitterness than the Hefeweizen, replacing the wheat/yeast crispness with a hop crispness. Examples: Bell's Oberon, Sam Adams Summer Ale, Goose Island 312.
