European Pale Lager - (lager) European Pale Lagers are the response by many European breweries to catch a piece of the money from a spike in the sales of pale lager beers. They have a solid malt backing with notable hop bitterness and flavor, but don't have the flavor strength or crispness of a true Pilsner beer. Examples: Heineken, Stella Artois, Harp Lager.
